Free Pattern – Apple Scarf

To fit: child (adult)

Length: 120 (180) cm, 47½ (71½) inches


Robin Double Knit

Shade: 016 Apple, 50 (75) g

Shade: 075 Sunflower, 50 (75) g

A 8 mm (L) crochet hook

A 6 mm (J) crochet hook, for border

Tension / Gauge

13 sts and 9 rows to 10 cm (4 inches)

measured over US single crochet using 8 mm crochet hook

To make scarf

Using 8 mm (L) crochet hook, chain 12 (14).

Foundation row: Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.

(11 (13) sts). Turn.

2nd row: Ch 1, 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Repeat 2nd row until scarf measures Length: 120 (180) cm, 47½ (71½) inches.

Fasten off. Join cast on and cast off edges together to form a circle.

Scarf border

With right side facing and using a 6 mm (J) crochet hook, join yarn to edge of scarf.

Round 1: Sc all around. Join with in first st.

Round 2: * Ch1, 1 sc in next sc; repeat from * all around.

Fasten off.

To make up / Finishing

Weave in ends.  Pin out to size, cover with a damp cloth, and leave to dry overnight.
